School Calendar

As we begin a new school year, we are excited to welcome a new group of children ranging in age from 8 months to nearly 3 years old. Throughout September, our focus will be on helping everyone adjust to their new routines, build relationships, and feel safe and comfortable in our daycare environment.

We will also be welcoming new staff members whom we have been meeting with and preparing throughout the year. They will begin shortly and work alongside our current team to learn our routines, policies, and the Rising Scholars way.

As fall approaches, please remember that changes in weather can bring seasonal illnesses. We encourage families to continue practicing healthy habits and taking preventive measures at home.

This month, we will return to our ABC and fall-themed units. Due to the unexpected amount of rain and changes in weather, we were unable to finish our gardening project, so we will continue working on it throughout September.

As we explore the changing weather outdoors, children will collect different leaves, observe seasonal changes, and use what they discover to create hands-on projects. These experiences will support language, early literacy, sensory exploration, social-emotional development, and an understanding of the world around them.
